Following the completion of the withdrawal from the Netzarim area, the IDF is beginning to reduce its reserve forces in the Gaza Strip. The 99th Reserve Division and the Harel Brigade (10th Brigade) have completed their operations in Gaza and left the region. Thus, the number of Israeli forces in Gaza has reached its lowest point since the beginning of the hostilities. The 99th Division, which controlled the Netzarim corridor for three months, is now returning to base. The Harel Brigade has completed its mission in the area and sent its fighters home. At the moment, only two IDF divisions remain in the Gaza Strip, which is the lowest number of divisions operating in the region since the beginning of the conflict. The 162nd Division continues to hold the northern part of the buffer zone and protect towns such as Mazikim and Bari. At the same time, the Gaza Division is responsible for the southern areas, including the area from Bari to Kerem Shalom, and also controls the Philadelphia axis.

Israeli forces have begun to withdraw their troops from the Gaza Strip due to the successful stabilization of the situation in the southern and central areas, which has allowed them to focus on rebuilding infrastructure.

It is expected that the demining operation in the Gaza Strip will be intensified in the coming weeks, which will allow the return of civilians previously evacuated from dangerous areas.
